technology

Technology

Some times tele -communications can't always be helpful to everyone. Natural disasters have struck since the earth’s beginning, but one dramatic change is underway: A global telecommunication network and the internet’s social media have shrunk the world, speeding news about disasters as well as speeding delivery of succor for victims. News moved as fast as electronics and telecommunications could carry it. Social media replaced pornography as a preferred destination for internet users in 2008 and now serves as the earliest news source for any major event, from political upheavals to natural disasters.

Rapid response to the quakes, including targeted fund raising and more effective relief, boosted the status of social-media sites. Ordinary people use electronic media’s global reach to spread news and raise money for rescue and relief; rescue and relief workers communicate with one another, the displaced connect with family and friends, and onlookers deliver messages of comfort. Even scientists at the US Geological Survey examine social-media volume and topics for extra data on shaking, surface movement and damage.

A closer look at social media’s role after these earthquakes suggests that gaps remain. Border-spanning power of electronic social media has not overcome human nature. Some Twitter messages from Haiti carried rumors, and the FBI issued warnings about charlatans requesting funds via Twitter messaging.

These some issues have been facing around the globe and if we can stop this we can make technology for a better use.

good and bad drinks

GOOD DRINKS AND BAD DRINKS

Good drinks and Bad drinks have been gone through all over the world.
Diet soft drinks, ice teas, fruit juices, coolers, every year, about 1,000 new beverages come onto the market, targeting our rising incomes and our innate fondness for anything sweet. They're changing they way we get our nutrients. Over the past 20 years, we've added between 630 kilojoules (150 calories) and 1260 kilojoules (300 calories) to our daily diet - and half of this additional amount is from drinks. About 20 per cent of our total energy intake now comes from beverages.

Water is tasteless and it's not much of a reason to get together with those old friends. 'I know a great little garden tap' isn't much of an invitation. best, from the point of view of health is tea. Both black and green tea contain antioxidants and studies have shown them to lower the risk of heart disease and possibly cancer.Coffee is also high on the list it appears to lower the risk of diabetes . Coffee might also lower the risk of bowel cancer. But too much caffeine can increase the risk of heart disease - less than 400 mg a day (which equates to four or five cups) is safe.Adding milk, cream, and sugar means added kilojoules and fats and pushes both tea and coffee further down the list, however. It's best taken black.

Full cream milk on the other hand is high in calories and saturated fat and has been linked with heart disease and should be avoided, the researchers say. Next comes diet soft drinks There's no evidence these sweeteners are harmful, but there's no evidence that they're safe over the long term either. Next are fruit juicesegetable juices like tomato and multi-vegetable juices are a good substitute; they have less calorie than fruit juices, but even so it's better to eat the vegetables. Smoothies are especially high in kilojoules and should be avoided. Then there's alcohol in large amounts alcohol causes serious disease like liver cirrhosis and cancer. Beware spirit-based coolers which are sweetened with sugars and are high in calories.

fastfood

FAST-FOOD

Fast food has been a main issue through Americans and Canadians.
The compelling rise in fast-food restaurants since the 1940’s, oddly, too, started the rise in obesity and cancer during that same time period. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do the math and link fast food to the obesity and cancer crisis. Synthetic chemicals added to processed food, including fast food, damage your body’s cells. Your body is made up of nutrients found in plants and animals you eat. Man-made food items loaded with pesticides, as well as aspartame, margarine, and other man-made chemicals do not nourish your body. If your body can’t use what you put into it you will gain fat and decrease health.

Granted, calories do count to an extent, but what counts more is the quality of the calorie. If you want to lose fat then you have to change your eating habits. This doesn't mean opt for Healthy Choice and Smart One’s frozen meals because they appear to be healthy. Food manufacturers use deceptive marking tactics to create an illusion to make people buy their product. To lose fat and keep it off you should choose foods in their natural state, such as fresh organic cuts of meat, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, essential fats, and plenty of filtered water. It’s vital that you go back to the basics.

ttc bus

TTC BUS

TTC buses have been one issues among many people. TTC buses has been crushed with people and teenagers who has been coming after school and going to school. I feel that they should sent more buses for people because of not because of teenagers, but also because of workers who are coming back from work. people who start making sexual assaults on teenage girls. There is an issue on a same guy who sexually assaulted eight teenage girls on November 5th, 2009. The man was 47-years old and girls were ridding a crowded Kennedy 43 TTC bus, some of them were between the ages of 13-17 years old.

TTC bus drivers have been a main issue as they have been not check how much people are paying there money. once I saw a one person putting only maybe 1 dollar but in 5 cents so they do not understand how much they are putting in. Bus drivers have been senting messages such as people do not respect them. we are people who are respectful and asking questions to how people and the work and TTC is? Once I asked one of the drivers they rudely disrespectfully answered me that he doesn't know. These are some issues that I feel that are some changges can be happening in society.
